Flow Collapse Button

Description

Flow Collapse buttons allow you to collapse a panel in a Layout flow. In some ways this functions a lot like a row expander, although with Panels rather then rows. This can be useful if there is a general work area in an application that can be made bigger by closing Panels placed before it in the Layout flow. As there are multiple Layout flow directions that can be defined, there are also multiple ways in which Panels can be designed to collapse. The design of the flow collapse button can be defined in this section.

Name
Description
Has a 'flow collapse' button

Specify if this Panel has a button that collapses or expands (i.e. 'docks' or 'hides') all Panels that are 'before' this Panel in the parent PanelLayout. The meaning of 'before' depends on the parent PanelLayout's 'flow direction'. For example, if the flow direction is LTR, then 'before' means Panels to the left of this Panel. Note that you only need to specify a single button which acts as a toggle, either collapsing or expanding Panels.

Button id.xml

The Button id specifies the button to be used for the 'flow collapse' button inside a Panel. Button ids can be selected from the dropdown next to the property. In order to see a button in the dropdown, a button control must first be defined inside a PanelHeader or PanelFooter container inside the Panel.
